The Brookwood Cemetery Society is a purely voluntary organisation and is entirely dependent on income generated by our own membership and activities.

Our income is therefore limited, but this has not stopped us from raising money to restore several important memorials in the cemetery.

Sometimes this has been achieved through partnership projects with other interested groups. Some examples are described in these pages, which concentrates on restored monuments.

  • The Columbarium
    • The Society successfully raised money to fund emergency repairs to the roof of this attractive Grade II listed mausoleum in plot 26. A £2,000 grant was paid to us by the Surrey Historic Buildings Trust on the completion of the work.
  • Drake family mausoleum
    • The Society agreed to fund the emergency repairs to the roof of this attractive Grade II listed mausoleum in plot 31. The Society obtained a £600 grant from Woking Borough Council and a £2,000 grant from the Surrey Historic Buildings Trust.
  • Elaine Falkiner
    • The Brookwood Cemetery Society paid for the repair and restoration of this vandalised statue.
  • Cemetery Avenue Signs
    • The Brookwood Cemetery Society  Avenue sign replacement project 1999 - 2019 .
